7 Party Destinations You Need to Get Wild in

Are you a party animal that lives for travel and great nightlife? If so, check out these seven party destinations and add them to your bucket list. All of these places throw the wildest parties and need to be visited at least once in your lifetime!

Ibiza, Spain

This Spanish island is my favourite place in the entire planet. Ibiza is a house music heaven, with world class DJs spinning every night of the week. Monster clubs packed with thousands of people offer multiple dance floors, each pumping different styles of electronic music. The visual effects are also top notch with big bucks spent on production value. Fireworks, dancers and mind-blowing lasers all enhance your overall experience.

A word of caution though, this place will suck your wallet dry. Club entry starts at 50 euros while drinks inside usually cost between 15 to 20 euros. That being said, make sure to pre-drink hard and choose which venue you want to spend the night at carefully.

The best time to visit is from May until October, the island is in full swing then. The most popular clubs in town include Amnesia, Ushuaia, Space, Privilege, Pacha and DC-10.

Seoul, South Korea

The capital of South Korea is a haven for party animals. Hongdae, located in downtown Seoul, is a hub for bars and clubs that cater to students and young partygoers. Psy sings about the famous Gangnam district, a posh part of town where the rich and beautiful spend their nights at ritzy lounges and big room clubs. Itaewon is a favourite spot for foreigners and has clubs catering to a variety of music genres from hip-hop to techno.

Walking along the sidewalk, you'll also see street vendors mixing strong cocktails and serving them up to pedestrians in plastic ziploc baggies. Drinking culture is very strong here with both locals and foreigners consuming an exuberant amount of soju, a Korean rice liquor.

The best places to go on the weekend include Octagon, Club Mass, Gold Bar, Ellui, Syndrome and Cocoon.

The electronic dance music scene is also exploding in Seoul. As a result, the city is starting to host renown international music festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Global Gathering, Sensation and much more.

Las Vegas, USA

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas right? It's no wonder that millions flock to Sin City every year to indulge in adult activities.

During the day, be sure to hit up the epic day parties at Encore Beach Club, Marquee Day Club and Wet Republic. Here, you'll dance in pools, sip on cocktails and work on your tan while listening to some of the best DJs in the world spin their tunes.

When the sun sets, trade your bathing suit for your hottest clubbing attire and head to the Drai's, Hakkasan, XS, Surrender, Marquee or Tao for a night you'll never forget. Who knows? You may meet the love of your life on the dance floor. Just make sure to not get drunkenly married during your trip. That definitely won't stay in Vegas.

Koh Phangan, Thailand

Koh Phangan is Thailand's biggest party island and for good reason. Every month when the full moon comes up, thousands of tourists flock to Haad Rin beach for the Full Moon Party. People cover their bodies in neon glow paint and wear the brightest clothes they can find. On the beach, bars line the packed cove. These aren't your ordinary bars though. Served in buckets, cocktails are made extremely strong with a splash of chaser added in. Beachfront clubs make sure to keep the tunes going until the next morning. This party is one of the most phenomenal things I've ever experienced. Fire dancers keep you entertained, gutsy people play fire limbo, everyone gets their boogie on and drinks are cheap as chips.

If you aren't in town for the Full Moon Party, don't worry! The island also throws a half moon party which takes place deep in the jungle. I haven't attended one but from what I've heard, it's just as crazy as the Full Moon Party.

Besides the full and half moon party, the island is always bumping with jungle party nights and pub crawls. If you live for the party, this Southeast Asian island is perfect for you.

Surfers Paradise, Australia

Located in the Gold Coast of Australia, Surfers Paradise is not only a paradise for surfers but for partiers as well. Every night of the week, pub crawls lead tourists to an array of bars and clubs. Here, you'll get the opportunity to meet fun locals and an international community from around the world. Don't know where to go? The city's hot spots include Vanity, SinCity, Cocktails, Beer Garden, Melbas on the Park and Club Liv. In the morning, nurse your hangover by taking a dip in the ocean and lazing on the gorgeous beaches.

Although the pub crawls are a blast, beware of shady ticket sellers. There will be attractive men and women who will approach you on the main strip. They'll try to convince you that they're giving you the best ticket price. Don't fall for this! Many people get fooled and willingly hand over $60 to $80, sometimes even more! The average price for a pub crawl ticket can range from $15 to $30, so make sure to bargain hard if you don't want to be ripped off.

If you aren't in the mood to haggle, find out if your hostel hosts any pub crawls (the majority of them do) and join those. Not only are these pub crawls more legitimate, they're usually cheaper as well.

Mykonos, Greece

Every summer, the Greek islands lure young people to its picturesque shores with the promise of an unforgettable summer. Summers in Mykonos are packed with beachside day parties, cocktails served in watermelons and clubs that don't close until dawn .

Mykonos is also an extremely gay friendly island. I love this destination because everyone, despite their sexuality, can just let loose and have a great time. It was also refreshing to walk into a bar as a female and not be hit on by creepy guys.

If you're on a tight budget, this place is a great alternative to expensive Ibiza. Clubs, drinks and accommodation are just as good as its Spanish competitor yet more affordable.

Events are on Monday through Sunday. During the days, check out Tropicana for parties on the beach that begin at noon and last until the evening. At night, migrate to Cavo Paradiso or Paradise Club, both iconic institutions are considered some of the best clubs on the globe.

Bali, Indonesia

Bali is a place that keeps the party going all year round. The most popular area on the island is Kuta. This place comes alive when the sun goes down and offers many places to keep you entertained.

The best part? Your dollars, euros and pounds will go a long way in Indonesia. As a result, Bali is a great place for budget travellers who still want to enjoy exceptional nightlife.

Kuta, in my opinion, always delivers a fun time. Bartenders breathe fire, music pulsates onto the streets and everyone is in high spirits.

The only potential downfall is that it attracts a younger and more rowdy clientele. If you're interested in chilling out somewhere classier, head to Seminyak where lounges and clubs cater to an older and more professional demographic.

Some great spots to visit include KuDeTa, Sky Garden and Potato Head

I’m a Canadian girl on a quest to step foot in every continent before I’m 30. You’ll most likely find me chowing down on Japanese ramen, partying at a music festival, hiking to the top of a scenic lookout, cuddling with cats, or chilling out at the beach. I’ve visited over 60 countries so far and hope to inspire you to do the same.
